COYOTL HUA CAN "place from where the praise of the coyotes..." NHUATL
According to a local legend, a coyote used to bring chickens to a friar who had saved the coyote from being strangled by a snake. Coyocan was founded by the Toltecs in the 10th century and later settled by the Aztecs, aka Mexica /mesheekah/.
Walking through Coyoacan, we could imagine how it might have looked in the early 1900s.Today, Mexico City has sprawled to encompass the once lush vegetation of Coyoacan's tree-lined streets with colonial homes and museums, cafes, boutiques, restaurants, art studios and local artesanos that create a certain ambience and charm.
Just a few blocks away is the Frida Kahlo museum, known as the "Blue House", on the corner of Allende and Londres. This house was the birthplace (July 6th, 1907), periodic residence and place of death of the famous Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The house has been restored and the rooms house artwork of Kahlo, Rivera and other famous Mexican artists, including the ancient Aztec, Maya and Olmec artists.

Hello Xueling! What a wonderful capture of the coyotes within the sprays of water. Your lighting is what really sets it off. f/v Kirsten

Xueling, Coyoacan - one of the most beautiful places in Mexico-City I visit always when I am there - your medium I know very well but I have never seen it in this beauty as you show it here - it is as I said - you are "at home in all mediums" and you are able to give any image a special beauty, vf - Dagmar
