I like the interesting contrast between the permanence and temporary quality of the 'Brickwork', and the patterning created by the bricks in the major shapes - Appreciate your very generous insights on 'Ten Minute Sketches', Thank you Xueling......Chris R

I'm a big fan of highlighting otherwise forgotten buildings (and parts of buildings) and your masterly study here shows why. The simplest objects - bricks, window frames, old doors - are interesting because of all the history they've seen march by. I wonder about the structural strength of this particular window and wall but their aesthetic strength cannot be denied. And thank you, Xueling, for your very nice comment on my Bee Just Being a Bee photo!

I see my sister likes this one, too! I like the light and shadow, the colors, the abstraction. Very appealing and old looking...like the mortar is really crumbled and feels inadequate... well done!
