The didgeridoo is the unique and ancient instrument of the Australian aborigine. The spiritual and healing power of the didj has been used for thousands of years in secret ceremonies of Australian aborigines.
For surviving Aboriginal groups of northern Australia, the didgeridoo is still an integral part of ceremonial life, as it accompanies singers and dancers in cultural ceremonies that continue.
The didgeridoo is a wind instrument developed by Indigenous Australians of northern Australia around 1,500 years ago and still in widespread usage today both in Australia and around the world. It is sometimes described as a natural wooden trumpet or "drone pipe". Musicologists classify it as a brass aerophone.
Xueling Zou, is an award-winning, Chinese American self-taught artist living in California, from an artist family in Beijing. Passion for art, painting by heart from studio to outdoors, she creates visual stories in oil and watercolor using composition, color, and form inspired by different cultures, literature and nature. Her works have been exhibited nationally and collected internationally. Drawing on influences of great masters from history to the present, with simplicity of brushstrokes or palette knife, her contemporary impressionist portraits, figurative paintings, Plein Air landscapes of California, express the humanity and life experience in special moments - the stories of our lives. Amazing painting, Xueling! We love how you show in here the two different sides of one and the same world: The huge and modern city, but in front and in focus the indigenous people with their ancient, but beautiful and strong culture. We voted ... Heiko and Helga

You must be widely travelled to have captured so many cultures in your art. This artwork of the aborgine is truely wonderful. I love the Opera theatre done in pastel shades as a contrast - in the background. Thanks for your kind comments on ' The Real Home Makers'.
